I'm better in the kitchen than I am with words. The idea for "Molly & Mollie" came to me while watching  Julie & Julia last year. And now I'm at a point where I am frustrated with my life and very focused on making good food choices- for my body and for the earth. We just signed up for the winter veggie CSA from Mountain Bounty Farm. It's time for "Molly & Mollie" where I embark on a task to cook every recipe in my favorite cook book: The New Moosewood Cookbook. It's the perfect storm. Since we have two butternut squash left over from the last summer veggie box I will start with Curried Squash and Mushroom Soup.

It was nicely spiced- it's important to scrape out all the goodness from the pan where you saute the onions and mushrooms because the spices are added to that mix. Jeff liked that it had chunks of food it in- he hates puree. I like puree and am very thankful for my Vita-Mix! I would make this again happily.
